Energy Transition in Argentina

What are we talking about when we mention energy transition? A first approximation is to say that it is the passage from the current situation of the energy system to a future state, around 2050, with net zero CO2 emissions. This implies enormous transformations of all kinds: technological, social, economic, and environmental that the world must address to guarantee the continuity of life as we know it today on the planet. What does this mean for Argentina, which depends on 85% of its energy supply? What are the great technological and geopolitical challenges? Although this article cannot provide accurate answers to these questions, at least it tries to generate the necessary concerns to at least reflect on a future that is coming at an accelerated speed.
